The Noel McCarthy Perpetual Award is awarded each year to the group of leaders and an individual leader who show outstanding commitment and enthusiasm in youth leadership during their stay at The Cavan Centre. The late Noel McCarthy was a leader with the Ferrini Youth Club who gave unselfishly of his time and energies bringing many groups to the Centre. He was a great influence on young people and on many voluntary and professional youth workers. The Clasac Centre is always full with friends of the Cavan Centre to celebrate the achievements of the participants on the Breaking the Cycle programme.
