Respite Stays

Pascals Cottage

The Cavan Centre provides Respite Stays for families, groups or individuals to escape from pressure, stress or trauma they may be experiencing as a result of difficulties in their lives or ill health. Respite offers the opportunity to relax and re-energise in a calm and supportive environment.

Respite Stays can be organised by agencies working with vulnerable families or individuals or by care workers to provide family access.

Respite Stays can take place on a full board or self-catering basis and those on breaks have access to all of the facilities and activities at the Centre, with the support of the Centre’s Youth and Community Workers.

Type of Stays

  • Supported Respite Stays: Families, groups or individuals who are in need of support are accompanied by care workers or a member of staff from the referral agency for the duration of their stay.
  • Semi- Supported Stays: Those availing of the respite need only the support of the Cavan Centre’s staff.
  • Emergency Accommodation: Families or individuals in a crisis situation can avail of the Centre for short-term stays, supported or semi-supported.
